Exhibited

London, Archeus Fine Art, Nessie Ramm: Small Paintings, 17 September - 4 October 2003, cat. no.18

Condition

The canvas appears to be original. There is some minor abrasion to the upper left and lower right corners, and to the upper and left edges in places. There is a small dent and fleck of associated paint loss, and associated light horizontal scratch to the upper right corner. There is a further more minor example towards the upper left corner. There is a vertical raised line to the work to the left of centre. There is a possible scuff to the upper centre of the lilac pigment, with further small and minor scattered instances elsewhere. There are one or two possible further light scratches to the work. There are instances of studio matter and light surface dirt. Subject to the above the work appears to be in good overall condition. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals slight fluorescence to the pigment but this appears to be the hand of the artist and there are no obvious signs of retouching. The work is unframed.
