Description

  • Hanging Ornament
  • white paste, white slip, transparent glaze 
  • approximately: 16.5cm., 6½in. diameter
painted in cobalt blue with interlacing 'rumi' motifs, palmettes, and lotus flowers, thick cord for hanging

Condition

Intact, there is a horizontal hairline crack running along the circumference of the piece, with some retouching and overpainting along certain sections, other very light hairline cracks to glaze throughout, some abrasion along openings to each side, one opening with remnants of adhesive, the cord used, probably of a later date, as viewed.
