A hanging ornament with the same design was sold in these rooms, 20 April 1983, lot 160.
Intact, there is a horizontal hairline crack running along the circumference of the piece, with some retouching and overpainting along certain sections, other very light hairline cracks to glaze throughout, some abrasion along openings to each side, one opening with remnants of adhesive, the cord used, probably of a later date, as viewed.
