The canvas is original with an unfinished work on the reverse. There are some minor flecks of loss to the extreme edges. There is some minor cracking at upper edge, in the light pigment and in the yellow pigment at the lower edge. There is some possible old retouchings in the light pigment, and in a small number of further locations. Inspection under ultra violet light confirms the existence of retouchings in the light pigment, and reveals general scattered retouchings throughout, with some fine sensitively executed retouching in the light globular shape in the upper left quadrant. The work appears to be in good overall condition The work is held within a simple dark wooden frame. .
