Condition
The canvas is original. There are some extremely fine lines of craquelure to the canvas ground at all four extreme edges. There are some further fine lines of craquelure to the paint surface in a number of places with some lifting to some of these. There are some associated flecks of loss, which are most noticeable towards the upper left corner. There are a number of lost impasto tips throughout the work. There is surface dirt and some studio matter throughout. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals some fluorescence in the areas of bare canvas but no signs of retouching.
