Description

  • Height 6 3/8  in., 16.2 cm
of baluster form painted with large leafy boughs bearing ripe peaches, pomegranate, and citron in famille-verte enamels between double-lines in underglaze blue above and below, red and green petals encircling the neck, the domed cover similarly decorated and with a bud-shaped knop (2)

Condition

The rim with an approx. 2.1 cm wide section out and re-stuck, and fritting along the edge of the base. The cover with an approx. 0.4 cm shallow flake chip to the rim and some fritting. There is a small bruise to the lip. The lip of the cover does not fit into the mouth of the vase completely.
