Description

  • Width 13 1/2  in., 34.3 cm
of compressed globular form rising to a tall, slightly recessed waist cast with a crisp diaper trellis pattern to a galleried rim, the shoulder set to either side with a pair of upright curved handles, all raised on the three lion-mask cabriole legs, mounted as a lamp

Condition

The bronze with fairly extensive wear overall. There are scattered nicks, dents and pitting, particularly along the rim, handles and feet. There is a casting flaw to the diaper pattern on the recessed waist and other minor imperfections. The interior with a thick layer of encrustation from use.
