Description

  • Diameter of largest 8 3/8  in., 21.4 cm
comprising a ruby-backed dish painted to the interior with a landscape surrounded by flowering and fruiting boughs, Yongzheng period; a plain-backed dish centered with an elegantly dressed woman and two boys enclosed by richly ornamented concentric bands, Yongzheng period; and a similarly decorated dish with a ruby back, 19th century (3)

Condition

The ruby-backed 'figural' dish with a restored break (from approx. 1 o'clock to approx. 5 o'clock), minute frits, and minor manufacturing imperfections. The ruby-backed 'landscape' dish with a branching L-shaped crack from the rim (approx. 11 cm), a short hairline rim crack, and a star crack to the base. The plain-backed 'figural' dish in overall good condition with only minor firing imperfections and minor expected wear (incl. minute chips to the footring).
