Description

  • Textile, silk, rosewood frames
  • Each panel 62 1/4  by 21 3/4  in., 158.1 by 55.2 cm
each panel carved with two feet, an openwork foliate scroll border, and an openwork lower panel with a fruit basket amidst leafy vines suspending double gourds, the upper section inset with an ivory-colored silk panel embroidered with a variety of birds, butterflies, and vegetation (4)

Condition

The four panels are in good overall condition. The textiles with some light occasional staining and appropriate wear overall. The frames with loose crests at the top, each has a small drill hole to the base apron, and with minor losses, repairs and wear. One panel is without a glass front. Please note that the textiles were not examined outside of their frames.
