  • Diameter 3 1/8  in., 7.9 cm
of bombé form supported on three triangular feet and set with two D-shaped handles at the rim, covered overall in a reddish brown glaze suffused with minute black flecks, save for an unglazed ring on the underside

Provenance

Acquired in Kyushu, Japan, between 1953-1954.

Condition

The censer with a burst glaze bubble and a hairline crack to the rim. One handle with a glazed over potting flaw. The surface with wear consistent with age and use.
