the globular body rising to a tall slender neck, covered overall with a crushed deep-strawberry-crackled glaze, draining at the mouth to an ivory tone and pooling to a deep burgundy tone at the foot, wood stand (2)

Collection of Walter F. Price (b. 1858), San Francisco, acquired from Vickery, Atkins, and Torrey, San Francisco in the 1920s-30s.

Condition

In overall good condition with a small firing line to the mouth, a few minute burst glaze bubbles, and minor expected surface wear. The glaze color is richer than in the illustration. Please note that this lot includes a stand, frame or other component made from a type of Chinese hardwood, which, if exported, will require a CITES permit to leave the United States.
