Description

with engraved inscriptions in Russian 'Rostov Saints' and 'This riza created [during the time of] Elder Andrew and Elder Yakov Ivanovitch Frolov' and date 1849, 84 standard

Condition

Overall fair condition. Some losses to the filigree, visible in the catalogue photo. Some wear to gilding, two halos loose. The silver somewhat warped and with a handful of splits; the side edges crimped. An image of the original icon painting is available by request from the Russian department.
