Condition

Original canvas on its original stretcher. Two canvas patches are visible on the reverse. There is a layer of surface dirt and what appear to be small fibrous accretions or possibly mould to the sky. There are some light abrasions to the edges and a few surface scratches with associated paint loss, most notably to the right edge. There is a scuff mark to the upper right corner and another to the sky at the right edge. There is another pale scuff mark to the hut near the left edge. There is a tiny fleck of paint loss to the sky, above the second hut from the right. UV light reveals retouching to areas on the left side corresponding with the patches on the reverse. Held in a wooden frame. Unexamined out of frame.
