Condition

The card is slightly undulating in places, particularly at the centre of the right edge. There are pinholes in the upper left corner and towards the middle of the left edge. The edges and corners of the card show minor signs of wear. There is craquelure in places, most notably to the areas of impasto in the foreground, as well as on the roof of the barn. There are scattered paint losses throughout, the majority of which appear to be inherent to the artist's technique to create the effect of snow. There is an indented line running across the length of the treeline. Inspection under UV light reveals spots of retouching to the sky. Held in a gold painted wooden frame. Unexamined out of frame.
