Condition

Original canvas. There is a dent with some minor associated paint loss to the grass in the lower right. There are frame abrasions along the edges. There are vertical cracks in places, some of which run horizontally across the whole canvas. Some of these cracks are slightly raised, with some associated paint loss in places. This is most noticeable in the white sail in the upper left quadrant, the right tip of which is lost. There is a layer of surface dirt with spots of dirt as well as scuff marks in places. Inspection under UV light reveals some scattered retouching corresponding to the aforementioned cracks as well as to the white sail on the left. Held in a modern frame. Unexamined out of frame.
