Original canvas. There are abrasions with associated paint loss along the edges. Faint stretcher bar marks are visible in places. There is craquelure scattered throughout, which is slightly raised in places. There is a layer of surface dirt. Inspection under UV light reveals no obvious signs of retouching. Held in a painted tray frame. Unexamined out of frame.
