The board is bowed. The edges and corners are worn. The bottom edge is slightly uneven and there is a loss to its centre. There are further losses to the lower left and right corners, which have been reinforced, and a tiny chip to the upper right corner. The left side of the support has been damaged and shows multiple tears and creases with associated losses. There are scattered flecks of paint loss, most notably to the sky in the upper left corner, along the left edge and by the tree in the lower right quadrant. Fine craquelure is visible in places, most notably in the sky at the top left of the composition and on the wall of the house. There is a layer of surface dirt. Inspection under UV light reveals minor retouching to the damages in the corners and along the left edge. Held in a gilt wooden frame. Unexamined out of frame.
