Condition

The canvas has been strip-lined. There are abrasions with associated paint loss along the edges. There is a minor dent in the snow in the lower left quadrant. There are cracks scattered throughout, most noticeably along the edges and on the white impasto in the foreground. There is a layer of surface dirt and the varnish has discoloured. The painting would benefit from a clean. Inspection under UV light reveals areas of restoration in all four corners as well as to the snow in the foreground. Unframed.
