  • one signed in Latin and dated 1940 l.r., further inscribed on the reverse; the other signed in Latin and dated 1939 l.r., further signed and inscribed on the reverse  
  • one ink over pencil on paper, the other pencil, watercolour and coloured ink on paper
  • both, image size: 21 by 28cm, 8 1/2 by 11in.

Condition

The sheets have discoloured in line with age. There are minor creases to the lower right corner of the Mice and the lower left corner of the Lion. There is some dark red and brown staining in places along the edges of the Mice. The sheets are covered in a light layer of dirt with spots in places. There is some incipient foxing visible throughout. Held in painted wooden frames behind glass. Unexamined out of frames.
