The panel is sound. There is a minor loss to the panel as well as to the paint layer in the lower right corner and to the centre of the top edge. There are nicks and minor losses elsewhere along the edges. There is a scratch to the sleeve in the lower right corner and a minor fleck of paint loss to the corner of the mouth. There is a light layer of surface dirt and handling marks are visible along the edges. There are few tiny drips of white paint to the hair as well as to the collar by the necklace. Inspection under UV light reveals no obvious signs of retouching. Held in a ornate gilt wooden frame. Unexamined out of frame.
