signed in Latin, dated '1983-98' and further extensively inscribed and variously dated on the reversemixed media on foamboardKhudiakov emigrated to the United States in 1974, where he began experimenting with assemblages made from found objects, such as studs, hangers, chewing gum and glitter. By taking them out of their natural context he was aiming to create a new sensory network and reaffirm the connection between art and everyday life. Khudiakov's manipulation of cheap collectibles, rejection of traditional artistic practices and tight connection between text and image, suggest strong affinities with the Fluxus movement.
