possibly a sampler (Wagireh)

Condition

Overall measurements: 105cm across the top, 105cm across the bottom, 138cm the left hand side, 140cm the right hand side. In very good condition overall. Dense evenly sheared pile, approx. 2-3mm in depth Finely woven, glossy wool. Some warp tension lines just visible in field at certain angles. Both ends with original soumakh end finishes. Lower end with lower end finish complete with very minor losses to right hand edge of corner and small repair to Soumakh. Upper end with knotheads, fringes trimmed and very minor losses to corners. A charming example of very unusual size.
