Condition

Overall measurement; 403cm across the top, 417cm across the bottom, 558cm the left hand side, 550cm the right hand side. Pile varies from 7mm down to knotbars, with some minor areas with spot foundation visible scattered throughout the field. A repair or join? Vertically down the left hand side of the field between first and second columns of medallions. Either an old damaged split, or size has been adjusted. Additional photographs of the reverse are available from the department on request. Upper end missing approximately two thirds of the out crenelated surround and the lower end missing approximately one third. Both with warp fringes and secured with blanket stitch. Sidecords with some restoration, however now in sound condition. Carpet would probably benefit from a light clean.
