A 'Manchester' Kashan carpet, Central Persia

Overall measurements: 309cm across the top, 308cm across the bottom, 608cm the left hand side, 604cm the right hand side. Very good pile, dense and evenly sheared approximately 5-6mm in depth. Probably near original depth and condition. Original sidecords. Outermost dark blue edge slightly reduced at each end and overlocked with warp fringes trimmed to approximately 15mm. There is very minor localised area of wear in the lower right hand border, possibly from a ruck, also a very minor area of re-piling adjacent approx. 3cm in length and 5mm in depth. Otherwise in generally oustanding condition and ready to use.
