Overall measurements: 150cm across thie top, 153cm across the bottom, 259cm the left hand side, 252cm the right hand side. Colour in the catalogue photograph is rather harsh and dull. In reality the grey in field is a light blue, and thre reds are softer and warmer and greens less yellow. In reality colours not as harsh, and more attractive. Pile generally 6-8mm in the borders, and some localised area of knotbars visible, especially in the light browns of second medallion up and the lighter abrashed orange red of border to the left between the second and third medallion from the bottom. Level with this in the blue field, above the diced medallions, there are about half a dozen scattered sections of repiled rows of knots, presumably old fold lines. Dark browns nearly fully oxidised with wefts showing. Lower end with original red flatweave reduced between 10 - 15mm and with turned warps. Upper end with original knotted fringing. Original side cords. The step up, in the lower right corner of border, is all part of the original rug. It would benefit from a clean. Very unusual to find carpet abrashed as this one is. Overall in very nice condition and ready to use.
