Condition

Overall measurements: 162cm across the top, 159cm across the bottom, 206cm the left hand side, 212cm the right hand side. Pile variable, between 6mm e.g. in the green ground ventral lower gul, to knotbars in the white ground guls. Browns heavily oxidised, particularly in the centre as visible in the image wit associated wear to foundation now with some loose warps. Sidecords with some losses, particularly on left hand side. some damage and losses to flatweave and top end and lower end missing outer guardstripe and with frayed warp fringing. Would certainly benefit from a very thorough clean and perhaps a judicious some judicious restoration/conservation. Very attractive space, colour and drawing. A lovely early example.
