Condition

Overall measurements: 410cm across the top, 423cm across the bottom, 561cm the left hand side, 557cm the right hand side. Pile generally fair 2-3mm, with some of areas of oxidisation to knotbars and associated wear in the taupes. Two cobbled repairs, approx. 6 and 8cm in length, to the left of the central medallion. The upper end with trimmed warp fringe now stabilised, the lower end with original flatweave. Two areas of noticeable moth damage to upper right hand corner, the larger approximately 10cm in diameter, small amount of moth damage and moth damage to sidecords along each edge and an irregular area of moth damage in lower border, visible as blue patch in illustration, approximately 15 by 15cm at extremities. A large and spaciously drawn carpet with attractive border in attractive country house condition. Blue weft.
