An exceptionally fine Sarouk rug, with a rarely seen overall design.

"The flower-like border in which the branches follow the geometry of the sinuous line of the moon elevation makes a nice contrast to a triple four-and-one layout which stands for the transition of the three cosmic levels in this clean, crisp Persian city piece." (EH)
