Description

Each surmount set with a circular-cut diamond in a pinched collet, supporting a pendant set with an emerald drop on a rose and cushion-shaped diamond surmount, fitted case stamped Hübner.

Provenance

Formerly from the collection of Princess Isabelle de Croÿ, Archduchess Frédéric of Austria (1856-1931). "2 gros cabochons poires en émeraude surmontés d'un diamant. Héritage de ma mère".

Condition

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 93532, stating that the emeralds, measuring approximately 15.70 x 11.60 x 8.15mm, and 17.20 x 11.95 x 7.50mm respectively, estimated to weigh approximately 9.0 carats each, are of Colombian origin, with a moderate amount of oil in fissures. Emeralds green of medium strong saturation, with typical inclusions visible to the naked eye, some surface reaching, abrasions and nicks visible to the surface. Diamonds bright and lively. Scratches and tarnish to the metal consistent with age. In overall good condition. Total gross weight approximately 7 grams. Fitted case stamped HÜBNER WIEN, KOHLMARKT 2.
