Description

Grand Cross breast star by C.F. Rothe, Vienna, hallmarked AA, circa 1900, in pierced jewel-cut silver with applied gold and red-enamelled central cross and separately-applied gold saltire cross, height 88.5mm, width 89mm, good extremely fine, in fitted case of issue.

Condition

Enamel in overall good condition. Evidence of scratches consistant with age. The leather is peeling on the exteriors and may benefit from the attention of a jeweller. Clasp secure. Gross weight approximately 44 grams. Fitted case.
