the body simply chased with foliage, the flat-domed cover inset with a Louis XV French silver Ecu dated 1726, prick-engraved N.S.S.H.WB, M.M.D.B. and dated 1778, rearing crowned lion and orb thumbpiece, the three feet similarly modelled, the underside with scratchweight Vog 68 Lod

Condition

Makers mark only stamped clearl once to cover and twice to underside. The coin and cover a little rubbed, as is some of the decoration to the body. No obvious repairs. Good overall with wear commensurate with age.
