Description

  • tray 36.7cm. wide, 14½ in.
  • circa 1780
comprising: a bullet-shaped teapot and cover, a sugar bowl and cover, two tea cups, a saucer and an oval tray; and a fable-decorated tea cup and saucer en suite, crossed swords marks in underglaze blue above stars, painter's numerals inside foot rims of some pieces, the tray with underglaze 4.. below factory mark

Condition

Teapot and cover in good order. Sugar bowl and cover with rim chip to edge of cover (1cm. x 5mm.). Both cups with rubbing to interior and slight rubbing to rims. The saucer with scattered areas of wear to rim. The tray with slight rubbing to gilding and minute chip to one leaf. The fable-decorated cup and saucer with patches of wear to rim.
