In overall good condition. Generally, with minor old marks, small chips and scratches consistent with age and use.
Mortar: interior with two noticeable small chips, exterior: one chip (approx. 2cm x 1cm), another towards the neck of the mortar (approx. 1cm x 1cm). Rim with signs of wear (about 5cm long) and noticeable chips, one (7cm x 8cm), two next to each other (each less than 1cm x 1cm), another (0.4cm x 0.2cm), the last (2cm x 2cm).
Pestle: about 2/3 of the bottom presents signs of wear, consistent with age and use. Metal ring around it is quite loose and has left a light discolouration mark on the porphyry. Minor chipping throughout.
