Description

  • The larger: 56 cm, 22 in.
each of archaistic gu form, one decorated with alternating panels of figures in landscapes and flowering plants, the other painted with large stylised floral blossoms between borders of foliage

Condition

As illustrated in the catalogue: the beaker on the left has over-painting encircling the upper neck to a maximum depth of 10cm; the other beaker has three crescent-shaped areas of over-painting to the rim (17x8, 13x2 and 15x2cm.), minor glaze scratches and glaze firing imperfections to both.
