Molti gli autori e collaboratori dell’opera: nel primo volume sul frontespizio vengono citati Bartolomeo Marliani, Onofrio Panvinio, Alessandro Donati, Famiano Nardini; nel secondo: card. Baronio, Alfonso Chacon, Antonio Bosio, Ottavio Panciroli. Bellissime le diverse tavole di vedute sulle più belle chiese, edifici, palazzi, piazze della Roma antica e moderna.
