Folio (440x325 mm.), 62 tavole a piena pagina colorate incise all’acquatinta comprensive del frontespizio inciso, testo in inglese e francese, legatura coeva a cinque nervi in mezza pelle con angoli, dorso con decorazioni e titolo in oro, tagli rossi, cofanetto, difetti e restauri sulla c. N2, leggere bruniture, morso leggermente consumato, segni di restauro su dorso e angoli

Le 62 tavole presenti sono firmate da James Merigot e datate dal 1796 al 1798; la data di stampa della pubblicazione è stata desunta dalle filigrane presenti su alcune carte, interamente datate 1817, eccetto le prime due datate 1806.
Prestigiosa edizione ad ampi margini, corredata da splendide tavole raffiguranti vedute e rovine di Roma e dintorni tinte con colori nitidi e brillanti.
