Executed circa 1910-1911 in Châteauneuf-du-Faou.

Provenance

Galerie Jean-Claude Bellier, Paris
Edouard & Jeannine Chapet, Paris

Condition

Executed on cream wove paper laid down on panel. There are two thin scratches (the longest of which is 10 cm long) running vertically and horizontally to the upper left quadrant. Examination under UV light reveals lines of fluorescence to the upper left quadrant and further spots of fluorescence to the left part of the upper edge and to the upper part of the left edge, consistent with the artist's medium which does not appear to be related to retouching. There are a few flecks of paint losses, notably to the upper part of the trunk. The sheet is light stained. This work is in overall good condition.
