Condition

To the naked eye : The painting seems to be in a good condition. It is painted on a wooden panel made of a single flat plank, with 4 wooden reinforcements, beveled and nailed to the gessoed panel. We can notice some little gilt losses towards the Christ’s halo. The painting is under an old dirty varnish. Under UV light : The painting appears under an old thick uniform green varnish. We can notice some very small retouches with the size of a pinhead, towards the left arm, around the right underarm and the right hand of the Christ.
