Condition
Excellent condition overall. Chips, scratches, marks and abrasions throughout consistent with the object’s age and use within the culture. Multiple small insect holes scattered throughout. Modern hook for hanging inserted in reverse of shield. Roughly ten surface cracks in line with the grain of the wood to front of shield. Excellent preservation of the pigment with wear in places and fine patina throughout. Label bearing Elizabeth Pryce collection inv. no. EP-197 to reverse of board. Label reading "Alex w.l. Filippini No 067" on reverse.
