Condition

Very good condition overall. Minor chips, scratches, marks and abrasions throughout consistent with the object’s age and use within the culture.Heavy wear to the patina on the shaft. A few minor cracks on the shaft, running in line with the grain of the bamboo. One major crack in between the two heads on one side, approximately 8cm long, creating a crevice approximately 5mm wide. A few other minor cracks running vertically down the heads. A major crack to the tip of the spear shaft, approximately 3cm long and subsequent fraying and separation of the wood in this area. The very tip on one side broken off. Wrapped fibre very intact. Small label bearing Elizabeth Pryce collection inv. no. EP-139 on shaft.
