Condition

This early print, on a 1940s or 1950s mount, is in generally excellent condition. Visible upon very close examination are pinpoint-sized impressions and a rust-colored deposit in the upper left quadrant, possibly retouching that has shifted to red. There is very faint silvering visible along the extreme left and lower edges in the darkest areas of the image. The signature is very slightly smudged. There are a few stray graphite marks and 2 tiny rust-colored deposits, possibly foxing, in the upper left of the mount. There is a very small fox mark on the reverse of the mount. A piece of heavy paper matching the dimensions and placement of the print is adhered to the reverse of the mount. 'BWE-0007-SP' is written in pencil in an unidentified hand. When examined under ultraviolet light, this print does not appear to fluoresce.
