This work will be included in the forthcoming Renoir Digital Catalogue Raisonné, currently being prepared under the sponsorship of the Wildenstein Plattner Institute, Inc.
This work is sold with the original vase as pictured in the composition. The vase remained in Renoir’s collection throughout his life and then passed by descent to his great-grandson, Emmanuel Renoir, before being reunited with the present painting. The vase is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Emmanuel Renoir.
