Condition

The panel has two horizontal support batons adhered to the reverse. There is a panel join (or very straight, clean and old split) that runs the length of the panel 20 cm from the left margin, this has some butterfly keys at the reverse to support it. There is a further butterfly key to support an old small split 6 cm in length at the lower centre of the panel. Structurally the panel now appears to be in good stable condition. The varnish appears clear and even, and the paint surface stable. There are no major damages visible to the naked eye, aside from a few surface scratches and scuffs. Inspection under UV light reveals very little as the varnish is thick and fluoresces opaque. There is one area of retouching visible to the naked eye in the back ground at the top left, in the architecture. There appears to be some minor retouching along the aforementioned panel join, but otherwise seemingly very little intervention. In very nice overall condition. Offered in a brown wood frame with gilt sight edge, in good condition.
