Condition

The bevelled panel is uncradled, flat and stable. The paint surface is clean and the glossy varnish is clear and even. There is a faint horizontal surface scratch in the upper left corner, approximately 2 centimetres long, as well as a few visible spot retouchings scattered in the background. Inspection under ultraviolet light confirms these, and reveals the thick varnish underneath which some retouchings are visible: in the brown jacket of the male figure centre left, to an old diagonal surface scratch across the two furthest left figures' heads, and sparsely scattered along the lower and left margins. In overall good condition, offered in a carved wood frame.
