Condition

The panel appears to be formed of 3 vertical planks, is uncradled, flat and stable, and has horizontal battens along what appears to be a horizontal crack which runs the width of the upper quarter of the panel, as well as vertical battens along the lower quarter. The joins are visible from the front under raking light, and have associated visible retouchings. The paint surface is relatively clean and the varnish discoloured. Inspection under ultraviolet light confirms the aforementioned retouchings, and reveals further small retouchings throughout the composition. In overall good condition.
