Condition
The copper plate is flat and stable. The paint surface is clean and the varnish clear and even. The paint surface is slightly worn in areas, and visible retouchings are scattered throughout, most notably in the sky. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals these, as well as more concentrated spots in the lower quarter of the composition. These do not impeded the readability of the image however, which appears bright and ready to hang. Offered in a plain wooden frame in good condition.
