Condition

The panel is uncradled, flat and stable. There are very thin layers of wood applied to two of the four margins on the reverse. The paint surface is clean and the varnish is clear and even, and the colours and details are very well preserved. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals retouching along the right, left and lower margins, and otherwise only a handful of pin prick retouchings elsewhere. In overall very good condition. Offered in a carved and gilt wood frame in good condition.
