Catalogue Note

This Madonna and Child is closest in composition, and in the physiognomy of the protagonists, to Rogier's Virgin and Child in the Musée des Beaux-Arts, Tournai,1 and to the painting of the same subject recorded as possibly in the collection of Dr. Springer, Berlin.2 1 M.J.
