Overall the condition of the marbles is very good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. The columns are composed of marble all the way round including to the reverses. The columns are composed in sections and there are original slightly visible stable joints. There are a few glue residues in between the joints. There is veining to the marble consistent with the material, including a few slightly open stable veins. There are minor chips and abrasions, in particular at the edges and corners, consistent with the age of the columns. There are natural inclusions in the marble, including to the upper molding of one of the columns. There are minor dirt and paint residues, in particular to the bottoms of the columns. There is some restoration to the reverses of the columns. One of the columns at the reverse has slightly open veins and possible restored fracture.
