Condition

Overall the condition of the ivory is good, with dirt and some wear to the surface consistent with age. Both little fingers are lost. There are original joints at the shoulders, which are slightly open but stable. There is stable splitting to the ivory, consistent with the material. There is minor wear to the polychromy. There are losses to the silver aureole as well as some warping. There is tarnishing to the silver mounts on the cross and remnants of polish in the crevices. There is some general wear to the wood, including minor splitting to the base and some slightly open joints.
