Condition

Overall the condition of the bronze is good, with some wear and minor dirt to the surface consistent with age. There is rubbing to the lacquer patina throughout, and darker areas of patina remain in the crevices. There is an area of nicks to Christ's back, and there are a few further minor nicks. An original circular casting plug is visible at the proper right thigh. The front half of the proper right foot is cast separately. The bronze is attached to the base with visible plaster, and the attachment on the proper right foot is slightly loose. There is some wear to the base, including minor chips to the edges and corners. There appears to be an area of restoration at the front right top corner.
